Getting Back in the Groove...

This past year has been full of a few ups then downs and it just sort of left me in a little bit of a funk where I just didn't want to do much of anything on the blog.... But, I'm beginning to rebound and now I feel that am finally getting back into the groove.

I've setup BlogLovin' to help me keep track of the many, many blogs that I follow. I've only been a member for about 30 minutes and all I can say is that I'm lovin' it!

I setup an account and then added several of the blogs that I enjoy reading daily. This way, I go to one place and see all the current updates - rather than having to organize my Internet favorites and then remember which folder I put the blogs about hand lettering, or the greeting card blogs, or sewing blogs, etc. (What can I say - I have lots of interests).

I happened to stumble upon a great site called StumbleUpon......and have become addicted.

Stumble Upon is a discovery site that finds and recommends other sites, blogs, photos, etc. that are personalized to your tastes and interests. If you like a site, click the "I Like It" button...and then click the "Stumble!" button to bring up the next recommended site.

Two of My Favorite Blogs....

I've become a big fan of the blog While she Naps because the author is so generous with her knowledge and talents about sewing soft toys. If you have a few minutes and have an interest in that sort of thing I would recommend checking it out.

If you like art, stop by for a visit at Geninne's Art Blog. She captures two of my favorite topics - Birds and Flowers. I was so inspired by her work that I asked for and received watercolors and paper as my Christmas gift this year from my wonderful hubby.

My Very 1st Blog

Today I decided to start a blog....a journal of my life and interests that probably no one but me will ever read. You see, I guess I am going through some type of mid-life reassessment - its not really a crisis - its just that there is this feeling that there is more to being here....I can't really describe it...there's this pull inside of me to find that missing piece.....don't get me wrong....I love my family life - I am blessed and grafeful for my husband, kids, and close friends......I have a significant array of interests - almost too many - that involve the creation of things that most people probably could care less about....

If I could wish for anything it would to be financially secure enough that I didn't have to wake up at 6 a.m. 5 days a week and go to work for someone else.....I would stay home to sew, write, read, and create.....just the thought of it, gives me goosebumps.....

So, I've decided to document the things I love to make and the things I want to learn to make - I've got a camera, a computer and a desire to create.....unfortunately, there are no promises that I have any sort of talent.....
