Springtime....

I love springtime....

The tiny white flowers remind me of fireflies.

The waterfalls make such a peaceful sound and are a great place for the birds to take a bath.

Maizie enjoys the pond too.

What is springtime like where you live?

Thanks for stopping by!

Birds make me smile...

Walking through my house I began to notice all the bird decorations....below are just a few, the ones I didn't snap a picture of were the bird houses above my kitchen cabinets, pictures with birds in them hanging by my TV, the bird feeders outside my kitchen window, the Blue Sky bird house hanging in the window....the list goes on, and on....

I found these in the attic of an antique mall

This was discovered on a shelf at Home Goods

These were a gift from a friend

I discovered this lacquered Japanese tray in a Consignment shop

This one was a purchase from a local craft store
How about you? Do you find that you have a repeating pattern in your home? I probably have almost as many flower items as I do birds.....

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Continuing On...

The fall colors in our yard just takes my breath away.

I thought this year there wouldn't be any color due to the drought but the rain we've had has brought all the plants and trees back and fall in the Midwest is full of spectacular colors.

Looking Good....

The pond is finally working again after purchasing a new pump for the falls, and having the little pump fixed that filters water through the UV light. It looks GREAT!

Next comes the landscaping.

Back to Normal...

It is finally done!

We built stone steps with a bit of a curve and a little brick patio so I could have flowers pots in the front. I added the two trellis on the side so that I could have flowering vines growing in the spring. Hopefully, the vines will bring hummingbirds for a visit.

Everything is out of the garage and now neatly organized in the shed. And I get to park in the garage again! I hate scraping frost of the windshield.

It feels wonderful to have everything finally back to normal.

The house is clean, the yard looks good, the garage and shed are organized. I'm a happy woman, although, now I won't know what to do with all that extra time.

So, how do you feel when a project is finished?

Almost There...

My favorite son finished off the roof today.

It is finally looking more and more like a shed and the list of things left to do is getting shorter and shorter. All that's left is the door, trim on the corners, and landscaping.

The blue pool to the side is for the pups but today they found a better way to cool off.
Charlie climbed into the backyard pond for a quick dip.

Working in the Yard.....

We are spending the weekend working in the yard getting everything ready

for our new fence so I thought I would take a few pics of some of our yard deco

that is filtered throughout the yard when a friend stopped by

to take a dip in our backyard pond.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Family Trees...

Once there was a tree.....

And then it was gone....

I loved our Willow Tree
but it succumbed to old age and high winds

So we had to take it down over the weekend

We planted it when it was just a sappling,
Watched it grow
And I thought it was beautiful.

I will miss the shade it provided to me and all the lovely flowers

I know it may seem silly, but I hated to see it go....
Have you ever felt sad over the loss of a tree, or something material like this?
